HRTS/SKYLAB Database
Profiles on C IV 1548 and 1550 Angstrom
transition zone lines in a sunspot (center)
bordered by an active region. The spatial
variations in the emission correspond to
the vertical direction where the spatial
resolution of the spectra are on the order
of 1" (725 km on the Sun). Doppler
shifts (horizontal direction) over sunspot
reveal down flows of up to 150 km/s.

The HRTS/SKYLAB Database is comprized of data from the
HRTS
experiment flown on HRTS rockets and the HRTS experiment on
Spacelab-2
as well as data from the NRL SO82B
Ultraviolet Spectrograph flown on the
SKYLAB Mission. This database is the under sponsorship of NASA's Space Physics Data System.
Data is organized by mission:
- HRTS 1 - July 21, 1975
- HRTS 2 - February 23, 1978
- HRTS 3 - March 1, 1979
- HRTS 4 - March 7, 1983
- HRTS 5 - December 11, 1987
- HRTS 6 - November 20, 1988
- HRTS 7 - November 21, 1990
- HRTS 8 - August 24, 1992
